Theresa May, up your security!
Two men have appeared in court today over an alleged plot to kill the British prime minister that involved bombing Downing Street and stabbing Theresa May.
Naa’imur Zakariyah Rahman, 20, from north London, appeared on Wednesday morning in Westminster magistrates’ court charged with terrorism offenses.
Another man, 21-year-old Mohammed Aqib Imran, from Birmingham, also appeared, accused of preparing terrorist acts for allegedly planning to travel overseas. Big shocker – more Islamic terrorism.
The two men gave “not guilty” pleas when appearing in court.
They were arrested on 28 November by officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command, a statement from the Met confirmed.
Both men were remanded in custody and are due to appear in the Old Bailey on December 20, 2017.
